5 Habits For Healthy Teeth
Tip #1: Brush your teeth and brush them properly
It’s super important how you brush your teeth and even your tongue. Taking your time and moving in slow / gentle circles with fluoride toothpaste will help remove plaque. Brush your teeth at least twice per day and floss once per day.
Tip #2: Limit Sugars and Acid Foods From Your Diet.
Since sugars convert to acid in the mouth, this can cause damage to your overall oral health including cavities. So as we all know, reducing sugar intake is a good thing for our body starting with our mouth. Also, reducing acidic foods is healthy for the mouth.
P.S. There are supplements that can help reduce damage to your teeth, for example, this one.
Tip#3: Drink More Water
Water is always important for your body starting with your teeth. Make sure to drink a glass after each meal to help remove any food particles from the mouth.
Tip #4: Eat Lots of Fruits and Vegetables
Not just any, but “crunchy” fruits and veggies! Shop around the edge of your local grocery store, not so much through the middle where highly processed foods lay in wait.
Tip #5: See Your Dentist Twice per Year
At a minimum, you should see your dentist for cleanings and checkups twice a year. Dental professionals can not only remove calculus and diagnose cavities, but they can also diagnose potential problems and offer solutions.
Bonus Tip: Use Daily Vitamins and Supplements to Preserve the Health of Your Teeth
There are many available, but my favorite was doctor formulated and is a dental probiotic called ProDentim. If you’d like to learn more, check out their official website here.
